Now, I'm a major lover of performance. I see a Ferrari, and I'm on the brink of drooling, same as most other guys would be. I know the names of most major brands, and a couple that aren't so common. But, as I have adored cars for years, it has only recently come to me, via my girlfriend, that there is no point to performance. Unless you're one of the few of us that take to the track every weekend, there is no reason to get a car with over 300hp, or one that has performance suspension.
Now, I can understand the use of one for show. I don't care if someone spends over $100,000 on a car- either in tuning, or the base price. If a car is for show, or for racing, I can completley relate to it. However, is there any use in a Ferrari, if you're not going to race it? A Bently Continental GT is a perfect show car- would you really want to drive it around daily? There are much more affordable, beautiful cars to drive around town. Even if you get a remake with almost the exact same body, even if it's not name brand, wouldn't it be nice to have a daily driver that won't cost you a fortune in insurance?
I'd just like to hear everyone's opinions on this subject. I'm always one for a good debate :)
